How It Began

Our Story

Life has a beautiful way of bringing the right people together at exactly the right time.

What started as an unexpected friendship slowly turned into a love that felt effortless, comforting, and meant to be. Somewhere between ordinary moments and unforgettable memories, we realized we had found home in each other.

This December, we begin forever — and we couldn't be happier to share that moment with you.

For Guests New To A Hindu Wedding

The Ceremony, Explained

A few of the beautiful moments you'll witness — and what they mean

Baraat

The groom's joyful arrival procession — music, dancing, and family. If you're on Arjun's side, you're in it! Come ready to dance.

Jai Mala

The bride and groom exchange flower garlands — their first act as equals choosing one another.

Gotra Daan & Havan

The bride's family lovingly entrusts their daughter to the groom's family, her lineage joining his — before the sacred fire that witnesses the vows.

Pheras & Saptapadi

Seven circles around the fire and seven steps together — each one a vow for the life ahead.

Sindoor & Mangalsutra

The marks of marriage — vermilion and the sacred necklace, the moment they are wed.

Aashirwad

The blessings of the elders — and then the celebration truly begins.

💛 A note on gifts: your presence and blessings are truly the greatest gift. For those who wish to give, a card box will be available at both the wedding and the reception — no boxed gifts at either, please.

Questions & Answers

What should I wear?

Indian formal or festive attire throughout. Temple ceremony: modest, comfortable dress — the ceremony is held in the temple's hall, so shoes stay on. Telwaan: bring a touch of yellow. Reception: formal — bright colors encouraged; please avoid bridal red. November evenings run chilly, especially at the vineyard — bring a warm layer.

Anything to know at the mandir?

We kindly ask that there be no smoking or vaping anywhere on the mandir premises. Thank you for honoring the space with us.

Which events am I invited to?

Your invitation covers it — and the RSVP form lets you respond for each event separately. Each family hosts its own Telwaan and Bhatwaan — Arjun's side in Fremont, Priya's side in San Jose; use the side filter above to see yours. The ceremony and reception bring everyone together.

How far apart are the venues?

Fremont and Livermore are ~30 minutes apart; the temple in San Jose is about half an hour from both. Each event is on its own day, so there's no same-day dash.

Are children welcome?

Yes — this is a family celebration!

Will there be food?

Every event includes a full meal. Please note dietary needs in your RSVP.

Can I share the photos I take?

Yes, please! Each event has “guest camera” QR cards — scan one and every photo or video you take goes straight into the couple's private album. (Uploads are disabled in this demo.)

Where do I park?

Street parking at both family homes; free lots at the temple and the vineyard.
